Live Session app v1.0.10: Pause a live session without ending it

You had one option when a live session strayed off topic or someone stepped away: stop it and lose the thread. Reading back through the transcript while it streamed was its own fight, since the view kept dragging you to the newest line.

Pause and resume

The session header now carries a Pause button. Press it and Chief stops capturing audio, the waveform freezes, the elapsed timer holds, and a Paused pill appears next to it. Your session record stays open, so Resume picks up where you left off, and nothing counts against your credits while paused.

The elapsed clock reflects recorded time only, so what you see is the audio Chief actually captured.

Session links

You can open Chief directly to a session with a chief://sessions/{sessionId} link. Chief brings its window forward and jumps to that session, whether it was already running in your menu bar or the link launched it cold. Opening Chief a second time surfaces the window you already have instead of leaving it hidden in the tray.

Actions on a to-do

A to-do in the live summary now offers several suggested actions rather than one generic draft button, chosen from the wording of the to-do itself:

• Draft an email
• Add to calendar
• Send a message
• Research
• Draft a document

Clicking one fills the prompt box instead of firing off the request, so you can edit the wording before you send it.

Clearing chats from the view

Each chat card in the chat column has an X in its header. Click it, confirm, and the card leaves your live session view. The chat itself stays put, so you still find it in the session detail on the web console.

Fixes

Scrolling up in the transcript panel or a result modal used to snap you back to the bottom on every streamed update. Chief now leaves you where you are and resumes following the tail once you scroll back down. Selecting text to build a highlight no longer gets wiped out by a jump either, and sending a follow-up pins your own message into view.

Zooming the app with Cmd + used to leave the project picker's dropdown floating away from its search box. Popovers now stay attached at any zoom level, and the onboarding tour spotlight lines up with each target whether you are at 100% or zoomed in.

A new live session used to open on whichever summary tab you last picked, so a Decisions filter carried over and hid most of the summary. Each new session now opens on All.
