Before you install

Is Chief free to start?
Yes. You get 10,000 credits when you sign up, and free credits refill at 300 a day. Paid plans add more.
Do I need the Apple Silicon or the Intel version?
There's only one. The Mac download is a universal app that runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 12 Monterey or later.
Do I need admin rights to install on Windows?
Yes. Chief installs into Program Files, so Windows asks for administrator approval when you install it and when an update is applied.
Can the iPhone app capture my Zoom or Meet calls?
No. iOS doesn't let apps capture call audio, so the iPhone app is for in-person meetings. Host calls from the desktop app, and watch them from your phone if you like.
