Delete Your Account

How to ask Chief to delete your account and the data linked to it.

You can delete your Chief account at any time.

Here's how to request deletion:

  1. Email privacy@chief.bot from the email address you use to sign in to Chief.
  2. Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
  3. We'll reply to confirm we received your request. If it comes from a different address, we'll ask you to verify that you own the account before we act on it.
  4. We delete your account and its data within 30 days of your request, and email you once it's done.
What gets deleted?

Deleting your account removes everything linked to it, across the Chief web app, desktop app, mobile apps, and browser extension:

  • Your profile: name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Your chats, messages, and saved prompts.
  • Files and content you uploaded or captured.
  • Call recordings, transcripts, and the notes and summaries generated from them.
  • Data imported from connected integrations such as Google Drive, and the connections themselves.

If you have a paid plan, it is cancelled as part of the deletion.

What do we keep, and for how long?
  • Backups: copies of your data in our encrypted backups expire automatically within 30 days of deletion.
  • Billing records: if you ever paid for Chief, we and our payment processor, Stripe, keep invoices and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Legal obligations: we may keep information we are legally required to keep, or need to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements, for as long as that obligation lasts.
  • Aggregated data: anonymized usage statistics that can no longer identify you.
Want to delete specific content instead?

You don't need to delete your whole account to remove content. You can delete files, recordings, and transcripts at any time from inside Chief, and disconnect any integration to stop Chief from accessing new data.
