Live Session app v1.0.11: Keep transcribing through a dropped connection

Long calls used to go quiet on you: the transcript stopped partway through and never picked back up, and the timestamps it did produce disagreed with the elapsed time on screen. This build fixes both.

Transcription that recovers

When the connection to the transcription service went half dead, Chief kept waiting on it and the transcript stopped for the rest of the call. Chief now notices the dead connection in seconds, reconnects, and replays the audio it captured while reconnecting, so you get those sentences back instead of losing ten or twenty seconds of the conversation.

Chief also keeps watching your microphone during the call. If your input device changes under you, as AirPods do when they switch modes, Chief rebuilds capture instead of continuing to send audio at the wrong speed and producing garbled text. It keeps retrying a rebuild for as long as the session runs rather than giving up after a handful of attempts.

Your microphone and your system audio now transcribe independently. One quiet side no longer holds the other back.

Transcript timestamps

Timestamps used to read roughly double the real elapsed time, and sometimes jumped back to zero partway through a session. Each turn now sits where it was actually said, matching the session timer, including after a reconnect and across long silences.

Fixes

A generated Live Session result opened scrolled to the bottom, so you had to scroll up to read a long answer from its first line. A fresh result now opens at the top and stays there while you read. Re-opening an existing chat still resumes at the bottom and follows new content as it streams, and sending a follow-up returns you to the tail.

Install this build if you run sessions longer than a few minutes; the transcription recovery and timestamp fixes only apply to calls started on it.
