Live Session app v1.0.13: Start a live session without picking a project first
You can start a live session with one click now, and add the context afterwards. If you work across several projects, Chief gives you a moment to switch before the session is filed.
Starting a session used to mean stopping at a dialog to choose a project and type in context before you could record anything. That got in the way when a conversation had already begun.
One-click session start
You start the session straight away. Chief picks up the recording first and sorts out the details around it.
If you have more than one project, Chief highlights the project breadcrumb right after you start and holds off filing the session for a few seconds so you can change it. The first time you start a live session, you get a longer countdown, since there is more to read.
Session context in the summary panel
The context field now sits at the top of the live summary panel, so you can fill it in after the session is under way, or rewrite it mid-conversation. Chief uses your latest wording for the summary items and for the chats you open from actions and highlights.
Only the host can edit it. Anyone else in the session sees the same context as read-only text, and it updates for them as soon as you change it. Your context is saved with the session, so it is still there in the web view and after a restart.
Open the app and hit start. If the project matters, you have a few seconds to change it before Chief locks it in.
Fixes
Writing context after the session started used to leave the title suggestion and the first round of context unused, because Chief only looked for context at the moment the session began. Your first piece of context now triggers both, whenever you type it.
Context supplied at the very start sometimes never reached the other people in the session. Chief now sends it as soon as the session is live.
A session reopened from storage came back without its context. It now loads with the session. Wait: the type field. I typo'd "tyoe".
