Live Session app v1.1.0: Hand a finished session straight to your coding agent
When a live session ends, a card now offers to open it in Chief, copy the summary, or package the transcript as markdown for a coding agent. Transcripts land in a second or two, summary bullets are editable in place, and diagnostics reports confirm they were sent.
You finish a live session, and then what? Until now the transcript and summary sat there and you had to work out how to move them somewhere useful. This build closes that gap and speeds up what happens during the session too.
Post-session card
When a session ends, a card docks at the bottom left of the session view. Open the session in Chief on the web, copy the summary with the same structure you see on screen, or expand the card to hand the session to a coding agent.
The agent view gives you an instructions field and a markdown copy of the transcript you can edit before you use it. Copy it to the clipboard or save it as a .md file. Sharing a session by link is marked coming soon.
You can minimize the card to a small pill labeled "Put this session to work". Clicking the pill brings it back, so the session actions stay one click away.
Faster transcripts
Transcripts used to arrive in bursts roughly every ten seconds. Now lines land in a second or two and interim text updates as people speak. Summary points appear as they are said rather than only at the slower recap intervals, and the headline shows up in the first beat of the meeting.
A long monologue now reads as paragraphs instead of one unbroken block, and a sentence that tails off quietly still gets captured. Both speakers' in-progress lines now show separately instead of overwriting each other.
Editing and navigating a session
Click the pencil on a summary bullet to reword a to-do, decision, or point. Enter saves, Escape cancels, and your wording sticks even as Chief keeps reorganizing and reranking the list around it.
To-dos suggest more actions than before: drafting a PRD, creating a task, building slides, and saving to Notion join email, calendar, message, research, and document. Hover an action to see why it was suggested.
Highlight a transcript passage and the highlight stays visibly marked while you type your question, so the passage no longer vanishes the moment you click into the composer. The highlight bar gives you a Copy button for the passage. Once a chat exists, click its header to jump back to the exact passage in the transcript, which flashes so you can spot it.
Fixes
Sending a diagnostics report used to fail silently: the modal reset, and you had no way to know nothing reached us. Chief now sends your paired email with the report, asks for one when your device is unpaired, and shows the report ID on success along with a link to the support ticket when one was created. If sending fails, you see an error, your typed description is kept, and you can try again.
Opening a session in Chief from the desktop app used to do nothing in some sessions. It now opens the right session on the web.
Install this build to get the post-session card and the faster transcript. Start a session and select a passage to try the highlight bar.
