Live Session app v1.1.16: Update Chief on Windows without the dead button
Updating on Windows now works: the permission prompt appears, the install runs, and any failure says what happened. Light mode on Windows also gets the sidebar and top bar colors the Mac build has had.
If you run Chief on Windows, updating has been a dead end. "Check for updates" sat spinning, "Restart to install" did nothing, and neither told you why. This build fixes both.
Windows updates
Clicking install now brings up the Windows permission prompt, and the installer runs once you approve it. Because the installer replaces the app rather than bringing it back up, the button reads "Install and quit" on Windows, so you know what to expect before you click.
When an install does not go through, you see the reason next to the button instead of a button that looks broken. Declining the permission prompt tells you the update was cancelled there, and you can start it again whenever you want.
"Check for updates" used to spin forever on builds that cannot update themselves. It now stops and returns you to the normal state.
Light mode on Windows
The sidebar and top bar were coming out darker than the rest of the window in light mode, since the translucent tint had nothing to sit on outside macOS. They now use the solid colors the Mac build shows, so the shell reads as the lightest surface again rather than the darkest.
Install this build if you are on Windows; it is the one that lets you take every update after it.
