Live Session app v1.1.18: Install updates on Windows without the failed prompt
Updating Chief on Windows now goes through to the installer prompt instead of failing at the click. Failed installs also land in your diagnostics so support can see what happened.
You clicked Restart and install on Windows, and nothing happened, or an error appeared next to the button with no way to get past it. This build fixes that.
Windows updates
Chief now hands the update off to the Windows installer as expected, so clicking Restart and install brings up the usual permission prompt and the installer runs. Declining that prompt still reads as your choice rather than an error.
Update failures in diagnostics
When an install did fail, the only trace was the single line of text beside the button, and it disappeared when you closed the window. Chief now records the failure alongside the rest of your diagnostics, so a support bundle carries what went wrong.
If you have been stuck on an older build because the update never took, install this one and later updates should apply from the toast.
