Live Session app v1.1.6: Hand a full session brief to your coding agent
Send to coding agent now hands over a complete session file: title, start time, duration, participants, the summary, actions, decisions, and the transcript, plus instructions your agent can follow to pull fresher detail from Chief.
You end a session, hit send to coding agent, and paste the result into Claude Code or Cursor. Until now that paste was your instructions plus a transcript, so your agent had no idea when the conversation happened, who was in it, or what you decided.
Session details in the export
Copy or save from the coding agent view and you get a header carrying the session title, when it was recorded, how long it ran, and the participants' email addresses. Below that sits the session summary, the open action items, and the decisions captured during the session, ahead of the full transcript.
Your own instructions to the agent still sit at the very top, unchanged. The transcript remains editable before you copy or save, so anything you fix there carries into the file.
Guidance for your agent
The export includes a note addressed to the coding agent reading it, explaining that the file is a snapshot and pointing to the Chief MCP server for the verbatim transcript, action owners, related sessions, and connected sources like Notion, Slack, Drive, Calendar, and Gmail. The note includes the commands to connect Chief to Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, and the session id to look up.
You create the personal access token it needs under Settings, API tokens. Your project id appears in the project's URL.
Fixes
Stopping a session used to reset the timer before the export could read it, so the duration was lost. The export now records the length of the session you just finished, and the correct elapsed time when you pause and review mid session.
Update and your next handoff gives your agent the whole picture rather than a wall of dialogue.
