Live Session app v1.1.7: Point at your screen and say "this page"
Live sessions can now capture what is on your screen so phrases like "this page" resolve to a real page or document, and "Put this session to work" stays in reach from the moment you start recording. The live header also shows the right project when you rejoin a session in progress.
You say "this page" or "that PR" in a call, and the transcript keeps the words without the thing you were pointing at. The summary that comes out later has no idea what you were looking at.
Screen context in the transcript
You can now let Chief see what is on your screen for a single session. Turning it on is a choice you make per session, and you pick which apps Chief may look at from a list where you can select all or none.
With the optional Accessibility permission granted, Chief also picks up window titles, the page you have open in a browser, the name of the document you are editing, a short preview of the page you are reading, and any text you highlight.
Each capture lands inline in the transcript as a single-row chip you can delete. Delete one and it leaves the transcript, the saved session, and anything Chief writes from that point on. The summary and the handoff to an agent read those lines as reference for resolving what you said, so a to-do about "this page" comes out naming the page.
Highlighted text gets extra care. Text in secure fields and anything shaped like a secret never leaves your device.
When the main window is out of view, a floating session pill keeps the session in front of you.
Put this session to work, throughout
The card that turns a session into to-dos and a summary used to appear only after you stopped recording, tucked into a corner where it was easy to miss. It now lives in the floating session bar for the whole session, so it sits with the controls it belongs to and stays where you dragged the bar.
Copy and download moved into that card instead of sitting as small icons in the panel toolbars. You choose what to take and in which format:
- Transcript, summary, or both
- Markdown or plain text
When the session produced to-dos, "Handle the to-dos" jumps the summary straight to them and opens them together, with the count shown beside it.
Fixes
The live header could show no project while a session was recording, then have the name appear once you stopped. Reopening or rejoining a session in progress now resolves the same project name a fresh start does, so it reads correctly the whole way through.
Retrying a declined message with a different model used to resubmit a quoted message as plain text, so the quote came back as raw > markdown. Your quote now keeps its formatting on retry.
Start a session, switch on screen context for the apps you care about, and the recap you get afterward will name the pages and documents you were actually working in.
