Live Session app v1.1.9: Ask a question mid-meeting from the session bar
You can now type a question into the live session controls while a meeting runs and get an answer grounded in the brief and transcript so far, plus a one-click Send to Slack on to-dos and decisions. This build also stops a new session from inheriting a previous session's summary or transcript.
Until now, asking Chief something during a call meant waiting for an item to appear in the summary and starting a chat from it. Sharing an action item meant copying text and switching to Slack.
Questions during a session
The live session controls now carry a chat button. Click it, type your question, and Chief answers using the meeting brief and the transcript captured so far. Follow-ups continue in the same thread.
The controls row stays where you dragged it. When the chat bar opens, the pill grows upward instead of shifting the buttons under your cursor.
Send to Slack
Expand a to-do or a decision in the summary and you get a Send to Slack button alongside the existing actions. Chief drafts a short message from the item and routes it to the owner or channel through your connected Slack integration.
You review the message before it posts, unless you have already pre-approved Slack sending, in which case the click posts it. Context items do not carry the button.
Fixes
Accepting the "you're on a call" card started recording against your last-used project right away, and the project control vanished the moment the session began, so back-to-back calls belonging to different projects had no escape. The card now counts down for five seconds with the project control still in reach, and whichever project you have selected when it hits zero is where the session lands. Opening the project picker holds the countdown while you choose, and clicking Start fires it at once.
A fresh live session could open showing the summary, to-dos, or transcript of the session you just finished. Each session's content now stays with that session, and a late arrival from a stopped session is discarded instead of painted over the new one.
Install this build to get the chat bar in the session controls and to stop old sessions bleeding into new ones.
