Rename, delete, and export past live sessions on the web
Your past live sessions on the web now behave like the rest of your library: rename them, delete them, export transcripts and summaries, switch to a card grid, and start a chat from any highlighted passage.
Reviewing a past live session on the web used to be read-only. You could open a session and read it, and everything else meant switching to the Chief desktop app. That gap is closed.
Rename and delete
Open a session and use the actions menu next to the title to rename it, or click the title's pencil to edit inline. Press Enter to save, Escape to cancel.
The same menu offers Delete, with a confirmation step before the session goes. You can also delete straight from the sessions list using the trash icon on any row or card. A session that is still being captured cannot be deleted, so the option stays hidden until it ends.
Transcript and summary exports
Both the transcript and the summary now carry Copy and Download menus. Copy gives you Markdown or rich text you can paste into a doc with formatting intact. Download gives you a file named after the session:
- Markdown
- Plain text
- DOC, which opens in Word
Card view for the sessions list
The toggle in the top right switches the list between rows and a card grid, the same control you already use on Personas and Assets. Chief remembers which one you picked. Each session shows who started it, with an avatar initial and name, so several sessions in one project are easy to tell apart.
Highlight to chat
Select any passage of a transcript and a small menu appears with Copy and Chat. Chat opens beside the transcript with your passage quoted, grounded on the whole session, and the resulting conversation is saved under that session's Chats. Sharing a passage is coming soon.
Sessions in the @ menu
Type @ in the chat composer and your live sessions appear alongside chats, filtered as you type. Pick one and it attaches as a named pill; your message is then grounded on that session's transcript and actions. Clicking the pill takes you to the session.
Credit cost on the session header
A badge next to the session timestamp shows the total credits the session used. Sessions with no recorded consumption show nothing extra.
The breadcrumb on a session page now links back to Live Sessions, so you can get to the full list in one click. Open any past session to try the rename, export, and highlight actions.
