Track who changed what on the new Audit page

Organization owners can now see a running record of changes to general, billing, and integration settings, with filters to narrow it down to one area or one person.

Until now, if your organization's name changed or a plan moved or an integration was disconnected, you had no way to find out who did it. Chief adds an Audit page to your organization settings.

The Audit page

Open Settings and pick Audit in the organization section. You get a list of changes, newest first, each written as a sentence naming the person and what they did: a rename with the old and new name, a plan change with the previous plan, an integration connected or disconnected. Load more brings in older entries.

Filters by area and person

Narrow the list to General, Billing, or Integrations, or to a single person who made the changes. You can also filter by category and resource type, and clear everything back to the full list in one click.

Details behind each entry

Expand an entry to see the fields behind it: the plan, the seat count, the credits, the provider, the project, the account, plus the action, the resource, and the IP address the change came from. Clicking a resource ID filters the list down to that resource, so you can follow one thing through its history.

What gets recorded

Chief covers your organization rename, billing activity such as plan changes, subscription activation and cancellation, credit additions, refills, alert thresholds, billing contacts and failed payments, and the three organization integrations, including connections, reauthorizations, sync scope, and attached projects.

Recording starts the day this ships, so the page begins empty and fills as changes happen. Owners see it; nobody else does.
